High School Program Descriptions

Computer Coding & Programming – Train in the essentials of block, text and Python programming used by professional software and website developers.

Computer Networking & Security – Refine your computer hardware and software knowledge, preparing you for a career in cyber security and rapid responses to real-world threats. 

Construction Technology – Gain hands-on experience in power tool safety, site prep and layout, drywall, flooring and more. 

Criminal Justice – Gain insight into career fields such as crime scene investigation, law enforcement, corrections, and court/juvenile studies.

Culinary Arts – Study the essentials to food service, and what it takes to become a professional chef as well as owning your own restaurant.

Digital Media Production – Bring your creativity to life with an exciting career making movies, television shows, or other forms of visual and audio entertainment.

Electrical Trades – Learn the essentials to constructing, calculating, and installing residential circuits and applicable codes used by professional electricians.

Emergency Medical Technician – Train in life saving topics such as basic anatomy and physiology, patient assessment, airway adjuncts and oxygen administration, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, managing traumatic injuries and more.

Graphic Design – Master Adobe programs such as Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign to use in a career designing advertising, tshirts, business materials and more. 

HVAC/R – Understand the fundamentals of troubleshooting electrical, mechanical and refrigeration systems as well as heating, ventilation and air conditioning.

Health Occupations – Become proficient in medical terminology, anatomy and bed care skills. During the second year, students can be assigned to a specialized program such as Dental Aide, Animal Care aide, Pharmacy Aid and more.

Landscape Horticulture – Practice care, cultivation and plant identification techniques used by landscaping professionals, greenhouse operators, florists, and more. 

Machine Tool Technology – Prepare for a career in CNC machinery by operating tools such as a power saw, drill press, surface grinder and more.

Marketing – Gain an in-depth understanding of business management, selling, pricing, promotion and what it takes to become a successful marketing professional. 

Practical Nursing – Get a head start on your career while still in high school. Gain both classroom and hands-on clinical experience in a student-friendly, small group environment.

Welding – Gain the skills necessary for welding various structures such as pipelines, bridges, power plants, automobiles, ships and more.
